By providing easy to use build and development tools, the OAK offers all of the benefits of the proven Phoenix core system software products as well as special PICO extensions. These special extensions include: serial video, serial keyboard, ROM/RAM Disk, serial Flash update, variable screen size, variable setup screen size, PCMCIA support, smart battery support, non-volatile RAM disk, ROM DOS/ROM Windows, non-DMA floppy, and Pen extensions.
As well as easy to use customization and build tools, the OAK provides the OEM with development software such as BIOScope for ICE-like debugging and BIOSEDIT for binary modifications.
